Natural Presence provides One-to-One therapies and Group activities benefiting the health and well being of service users

One-to-one sessions

When registering for one-to-one sessions, all new clients, whether for emotional/psychological or physical therapies, will need to complete a short registration form in respect of their health. All information is completely confidential.

The type of therapy will be discussed and on the basis of the client‘s needs, choice will be given as to the most efficacious therapy.

  • Type of therapy

  • Location of therapy/therapist

  • Languages spoken

  • Gender of therapist

  • Day and time of week

  • Whether the client wants a younger therapist with new ideas or an older one with years of experience

The client signs the registration form committing to;

  • 10 weeks initially

  • Attending on a regular weekly basis (i.e. same time and day every week)

  • Informing the therapist 24 hours in advance of absence or forfeit that session

  • Paying the therapy fees in advance (if applicable)

  • Contacting the therapist and together agreeing which day and time

  • Handing in the signed registration form to the office before therapy can begin

Supervised Counsellors

We have always encouraged and worked with fully supervised student counsellors on placement. Clients can self-refer for ongoing weekly sessions at £5 per 50-minute session instead of the going rate for therapy of £75 or more.

Group Sessions

Social Activities

The staff of NP have been providing group, social, health and educational activities for over 35 years in various formats and venues from schools, theatres, religious institutions and city centres. Groups include experiential and participatory seminars and therapies from Dance Movement, Drama, Arts & Crafts, Yoga, Health & Wellbeing and informal education.

Ladies Yoga Group

This is an ongoing group for ladies on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 pm and has existed for over 5 years, catering both for new and longer term clients.

The Eastern Stars Project

The groups in this project are mainly for people over 50 from the Sephardi/Mizrahi communities who may be at risk of social isolation because they are carers, divorced, single, widows or widowers, living alone or new to the area. No-one is turned away, either because of age or ethnic background.

Ladies Group

The Ladies Group meets bi-monthly and offers programmes in self-development, cultural arts and crafts, social education, discussion groups and outings.

Men's Making Music Group

The group meets bi-monthly and is aimed at those over 50 years old though no-one is turned away. Some of the participants bring their own instruments (guitars etc) and others use percussion instruments from our in-house collection. It’s a very informal group where the men chat as well as make music. Their combined efforts range from ancient Middle Eastern Jewish songs to Eastern European and modern Western tunes. Refreshments are served and men of all backgrounds are welcome.

The outcomes of the groups are about getting people to meet others, relax and enjoy participating in group activities away from the demands of life, the telephone, mobile or computer, and to provide friendship, activities, exercise, outings and fun.
